Mercy College Library

Mercy College Library stands as a beacon of knowledge and learning, guided by its motto of making the best use of existing resources while embracing new knowledge.

Established in 1964, the library has grown from its modest beginnings into a modern hub of knowledge and innovation that supports the academic, cultural, and personal growth of students, faculty, and researchers.

Over the years, the library has developed alongside the progress of the college. In 1992, a new library building named EKATHA was built to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the college, creating a vibrant space dedicated to sharing ideas and information. A major modernization project completed in 2006 transformed the library into an automated system with an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), providing efficient access to an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources.

Further renovations in 2014 introduced a new Computer Lab and expanded reading areas, making the library more spacious, comfortable, and technology-enabled. Equipped with wired network connectivity, the library ensures seamless digital access and smooth navigation through its wide range of resources.

Today, the Mercy College Library not only serves as a resource centre but also plays an active role in teaching and learning, embodying the true spirit of an academic library to inspire curiosity, stimulate learners, and support lifelong education.
